  • BHEL Hyderabad is successfully designing and manufacturing of Gearbox for STG application for different range of power & speed with In-House capability acquired over the years.
  • Gearboxes for different range of power & speed. ( 1 MW to 43 MW & speed ranging from 5000 RPM to 11000 RPM)- for STG application Designed from scratch and Developed in BHEL.
  • Gearboxes for BFP drive turbine application designed and developed by BHEL. A Proto type manufactured. All parameters within design limit during mechanical run test of the gearbox.
  • BHEL in-house design and manufacture of Gearbox for Sucker rod pump application completed & prototype manufactured.
  • Design Team capable of carrying out major activities involved in design of gearbox.
    • Gearbox sizing, gear tooth parameter design, gear profile modifications
    • Bearing parametric design and generation of manufacturing drawing for bearings
    • Rotor dynamic analysis
    • 3D modeling of different components of gearbox and gearbox assembly
    • Preparation of manufacturing drawing for different components of Gearbox.
  • Softwares used in Design:
    • Gear Design: KISSsoft
    • Rotor Dynamic Analysis: Dyrobes, MADYN
    • 3D modeling: NX
    • FEM Analysis: Ansys
    BHEL has in-house capability for design and manufacture any tailor made gearboxes for any type of application such as for power plant, cement industries, defense application.
